Duncan Bannatyne: Duncan Bannatyne has always had a passion for cars. However, the Dragons’ Den star, serial entrepreneur and philanthropist’s interest was given an extra spark thanks to Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page. Duncan was hitch-hiking from Plymouth to Glasgow when he was in the Royal Navy when he was picked up by two hippies in a pink Cadillac. They were towing another car, a Cord Phaeton, that they said belonged to some guy in a band. That ‘guy’ was Jimmy Page and 25 years later Duncan bought the car when it came up at auction!

The Cord is an amazing piece of history, not only in terms of Duncan’s life, but also because of its motoring and rock n’ roll heritage. But, while the Cord is the car of the past, Duncan is very interested in the cars of the present and future that will provide much more environmentally-friendly motoring.
